The 2008 Queen's Formula Racing car was the most heavily tested car to date. Unfortunately the car failed the brake test and although the team rebuilt the front corner of the car several times the car was too badly damaged to continue.

Chassis: Tubular space frame chassis, mild steel; Tubular rear sub-frame, mild steel; Unstressed Engine

Brakes: Twin outboard discs on front and rear; Wilwood single pot callipers; Adjustable brake bias

Suspension: Double unequal length wishbone suspension; Adjustable front and rear anti roll bars; Inboard adjustable coilover dampers, push rod actuated

Engine: 2003 Yamaha YZFR6 600cc - restricted; Full engine management; Multi-point fuel injection; Bespoke intake and exhaust; Modified intake and exhaust cam shafts

Drivetrain: Chain Drive; Quaife limited slip differential; Full throttle up-shift; Launch Control

Research: Carbon Fibre Wishbones; Carbon Fibre Composite Chassis; Braking System Optimisation; Composite Driveshafts; Bioethanol powered engine
