Phase 1 Dyno Testing Complete!

QFR have successfully completed an intensive 10 week engine testing programme which finished at easter this year. Data recorded included high-speed in-cylinder measurements in addition to pressure pulsations in the inlet and exhaust ducting - QFR aim to have the finest validated R6 engine unsteady gas dynamics model in the FSAE community. Bio-ethanol and petrol setups were compared and various inlet and exhaust systems examined - QFR are predicting our highest power output to date at this year's event. Click here to check out the video of the unrestricted unsilenced engine - an estimated 120dB OUTSIDE a modern "sound-proof" test cell!!
